Since starting
full-time professional tournament bass fishing in 1980, Denny Brauer
has established himself as one of the genuine superstars of the sport,
and has become one of the most respected anglers in America.
A 15 time winner on the highly competitive BASS tournament trail,
Brauer earned the coveted BASS Angler of the Year title in 1987. He
has career winnings of over 2 million dollars. He has won the
prestigious M egabucks
and Superstars tournaments, as well as the 1998 Bassmaster Classic. He
has qualified for 18 Bassmaster Classics. Denny also earned the FLW
Angler of the Year in 1998 where he took the spot as the first angler
to be featured on the coveted Wheaties Box.
For many years, Brauer has been extremely active as a seminar speaker,
making as many as 40 public appearances annually throughout the U.S.
He has been a guest on numerous TV and radio programs; including two
appearances on “Late Night With David Letterman”. He also has two
videos on the market to help educate people on the sport of bass
fishing, and two books titled “Denny Brauer’s Winning Tournament
Tactics” and Denny Brauer’s Jig Fishing Secrets”. He is now serving as
host of “Strike King’s Pro Team Journal” on the Outdoor Channel.
Brauer is a key member of several Pro Staffs, and has played a
valuable role in designing and testing new products. He has designed
several bass fishing lures, and through his tournament success has
helped popularize the technique of flipping and pitching.
